You know the part about experience. Well, not everyone HAS experience in the field that they want to get into, this is probably why this person put down assembly. I desire to get into HR. Do I have HR experience? No. Do I have office experience? Sure, if you count several temp jobs that last 1 month back in the 1990’s. So, should I put down my 2 jobs in office work and leave the rest of my experience out?

Thanks for the resume advice. It is a shame that universities don’t put more emphasis on this in writing courses.

A useful lesson in writing resumes. Useful for us all, no matter how well we think we can do this.

This is a great video on resume writing tips. You have provided things to me that I never would have thought of before.

As a manager having to look through stacks of resumes and applications, I have to agree 100% with the comment on details. If I have a hundred applicants why even read the one that can’t line up his bullet points or use font consistently? This is a good video. Thanks for posting it.

Tips for writing a perfect resume. Skills and Experience sections. If you have a skill you must show it. Write your experience in a way that relates to the position you are applying for. Show that you have value.

I like it. It’s about time someone posts a video that people can really benefit from.

There are many valid points in this video, but the one about experience may not be. If you look closely in the education area this person did not graduate until 2007. Both positions in experience are precompletion of the degree, so much of the experience will not be related. I agree that they should highlight the principal position more, but the others should also be there.

Your use of the political pictures is very unprofessional.

Well it all makes sense but some of it contradicts what other cv experts say. Finding out what an employer wants so you can tweak your cv to them is often very difficult.

This is great to have a guide that tells you exactly what and what not to do about these types of things. At school they just say what do to and what not to do, but not what really works. thanks.

It is nice to have a step-by-step explaination about what is good and what is bad for a resume. I always get stuck when it comes to writing a resume. It is hard to figure it out with just a template so it is nice to have videos with someone who knows what they are talking about telling you what to do. Thanks for the help.

Great video showing you how to properly set up your resume. You need to look good on paper if you want to get an interview. Great information on making sure to properly format your resume with consistency.

Great detailed approach and useful explanation of what each segment of a resume can do for you. I liked how the points were re-iterated in print on blank screens. Not overwhelming amount of information.

I enjoyed the reason behind every error makes you look bad

Good video. The author focused on a lot of details that may otherwise be overlooked by the average person. I particularly liked how he pointed out the difference in font for the titles — which did appear very similar — but to me displays a lack of focus throughout writing the resume, and the neglect of double-checking. I imagine that would particularly irk an employer in that desired field.
